What it is. What it does. Where it fits.

A standalone access-control terminal for sites that want to authorise users and record transactions while retaining compatible pumps.

01

What is it?

A standalone fuel access control terminal. It is the user-facing control unit, not the fuel pump itself.

02

What does it do?

It checks the selected identification method, enables an authorised dispense and records the transaction.

03

Who normally uses it?

Fleet, depot and commercial sites that already have pumps or want the control terminal positioned separately.

04

What does it control?

Up to four pumps simultaneously, together with the selected keypad, tag or card access workflow.

05

Where does it fit?

At the fuelling point between the user and the pumps, with transaction information passed to Fueltek FMO.

FT4000 equipment

Hardware Terminal and connections.

The FT4000 combines a Fuel Access Control Terminal (FACT) at the fuelling location with Fueltek FMO browser-based software. It controls who can dispense fuel, records the transaction data and makes management information available from any internet-connected location.

Key capabilities

What the FT4000 provides

  • Controls up to four pumps simultaneously.
  • Heavy-duty keypad for odometer readings, driver IDs, fleet numbers, job codes and other site-defined inputs.
  • Available with full alphanumeric, multi-choice alphanumeric or numeric keypad layouts.
  • Highly visible quarter-VGA backlit graphics display with clear user messages.
  • Available in pedestal-mounted or wall-mounted formats.
  • Non-volatile memory retains transaction data during a mains power failure.
Access methods

Access methods

The identifier links each authorised fuel issue to the configured driver, vehicle or asset record in FMO.

  • Datatag, DataDisk vehicle-mounted identification, Datacard or magnetic-stripe card.
  • Fueltek Datatag is the preferred read/write method.
  • Datatag authentication uses a cryptographic algorithm.
  • Minimum 100,000 read/write cycles and at least ten years of data retention.
  • No moving parts, reducing long-term maintenance.
Storage and resilience

Storage and resilience

Built to protect transaction data.

  • Minimum primary capacity of 2,000 transactions between downloads.
  • Lookup tables, fleet lists and transaction storage can be expanded.
  • Data is held in non-volatile memory without battery backup.
Site connection

Communications hardware

Connect the managed unit to the network available at your site.

  • 4G/LTE mobile data connects the managed unit to FMO without requiring fixed broadband at the fuel point.
  • Can form part of a LAN or WAN.
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RS232 and RS485 links are also available, matched to the installed equipment. Roaming SIMs and connection options.

Fueltek FMO

Access records and fuel reporting.

The FT4000 captures authorised fuel issues and site-defined entries such as mileage, driver IDs and job codes. Its connection to FMO makes these records available for browser-based monitoring and reporting.

Example FMO screens · Views and records depend on the connected equipment and account permissions. Select an image to view it full size.

Fueltek FMO ID Devices screen showing vehicle, driver, fueller and trailer records with an event list
Identification in FMO

Vehicle, driver and fueller records provide the identity context for authorised FT4000 fuel issues.

Fueltek FMO Reports screen showing transaction, totals, stock, fleet and automated report choices
Reports from the fuel point

FMO’s report choices support review of the transactions and site-defined entries recorded by the terminal.

Technical information

From authorisation to the management record

FACT means Fuel Access Control Terminal: the control point that connects identity, pump permission and transaction information.

Before and during an issue

The terminal validates the identifier, offers the permitted outlet and collects the configured mileage, driver, fleet or job-code entries. Keypad format and prompts are set for your operation.

Records and messages

The terminal stores at least 2,000 transactions between downloads, with expandable primary storage. Non-volatile memory preserves recorded data on mains failure; it does not provide backup power for dispensing.

Pump control

The FT4000 supports up to four compatible pumps operating simultaneously.

Because the FT4000 is normally integrated with other site equipment, the final terminal configuration depends on the pumps, identification method, power and communications available at the installation.
