Fuel system maintenance and calibration

Plan care around the equipment, its duty and the support agreement.

01Separate the support tasks

Preventative maintenance checks condition; calibration checks measurement; fault response investigates a reported problem; software support helps with records and operation. Agree which tasks are included in the service scope.

02Keep a useful equipment record

Record the model, site, affected outlet, symptoms and when the problem began. Note displayed messages, recent work and whether dispensing, reporting or both are affected. Give support the relevant transaction or reading times.

03Check the complete measurement chain

If records disagree, review both the pump meter and the tank gauge, their settings and the reporting period. A calibration visit should have a defined scope and a record of findings.

04Agree cover in writing

Confirm covered equipment, consumables, parts and labour, planned visits, access arrangements and exclusions. Ask how response is defined and when the working-hours clock runs. The quotation or service agreement sets the commitment.

05Keep staff confident

Include operator and reporting training at handover and review training needs when staff or processes change. Arrange refresher support for unfamiliar functions rather than making undocumented configuration changes.
